Substitute teachers are critical to the success of the school and students. We are currently hiring now for substitute teachers across various disciplines for the 25-26 school year. In this role you will create engaging learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social potential. Demonstrates proficiency and value added collaboration when engaging with professional learning teams & model a work ethic characterized by diligence, persistence and dedication.

• Creates engaging, mission-centered lesson plans
  
• Monitoring behavior and thoroughly aware of the classroom and building environment.
  
• Design coherent instruction that engages students throughout the entire lesson cycle
  
• Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness.
  
• Teach science classes at a proficient level based upon the Ohio Department of Education standards of professional practice.
  
• Maintain appropriate licensure and training hours as required.
  
• Comply with applicable state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.
  
• Adheres to the Ohio Educators Standards, ethical professional practices.
  

• Minimum of Bachelor�s degree; Master�s degree preferred
  
• State Department of Education licensure in content area
  
• Supports our Catholic Identity as a faith based school
  

• 3+ years of relevant, high-school teaching experience.
  
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
  

• Adhere to the Decree on Child Protection requirements.
  
• Complete monthly required Bulletin trainings per VIRTUS Child Protection standards.
  
• All employees must consider themselves supervisors of students at all times.
  
• It is the expectation of DePaul Cristo Rey High School that no student will ever be abused by an adult.
  

This position is temporary and will end at the conclusion of the 25-26 academic year.
