Job Summary:

This position will support the Off-Highway Truck Structures team, focusing on continuous product improvement, improvement to design for manufacturability, potential cost reduction updates and current production in Decatur, IL and Thiruvallur, India. The position will also have the opportunity to be exposed to, and support, new product introduction designs.

What you will have:

• Proficiency with 3D modeling software (Creo preferred, Solidworks or equivalent acceptable).
  
• Previous experience designing welded & machined heavy structures.
  
• Understanding of the Continuous Project Improvement (CPI) process.
  
• Experience collaborating with Suppliers (internal or external) to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  
• Experience operations and manufacturing processes such as: welding, machining, forging and foundry.
  

Degree Requirement:

• Bachelor�s in Mechanical Engineering degree (or international equivalent) in an accredited Engineering, or Materials Science curriculum and experience in design, testing and/or manufacturing engineering.
  

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Hands-on experience in mining or construction machinery equipment
  
• Personal experience manufacturing knowledge on welded heavy fabrications, machining, and castings.
  
• Experience with supplier collaboration and APQP execution

Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs; ability to produce, analyze, simulate and test product design drafts.

Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
