We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing inventory and stocking products. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the store's organization and ensuring that customers have a pleasant shopping experience. We are outdoor power tool and equipment company so must be able to lift heavy boxes.
- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and ensuring their needs are met.
- Stock shelves with merchandise, that can be heavy, ensuring products are organized and displayed properly.
- Manage inventory by receiving shipments, checking for accuracy, and organizing stock in the storage area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the sales floor and stockroom.
- Use a pallet jack to move heavy items safely and efficiently as needed.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all packages are accounted for and stored correctly.
- Monitor product expiration dates, especially in produce sections, to ensure freshness for customers.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash register operations is a plus.
- Experience with inventory management or shipping/receiving processes is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly stockroom and sales floor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
