Chief Purpose of the Position


The Sterile Processing Assistant will be part of the Instrument Management System department. This position covers all aspects of Instrument sterilization including Cassettes, Burs, Instruments & Hand Pieces. Sterilizing all equipment and instruments in the Central Sterilization. Responsible for maintaining an accurate account of all completed units nightly. Ensuring the work station is cleaned, stocked and ready to go for the next day.

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule for all shifts required
  • Knowledge of dental terminology or materials


Education Level and Experience


  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college or technical training preferred
  • Dental or medical office experience preferred
  • Instrument recognition preferred
  • Experience in an academic setting preferred
  • Experience using bar coding, scanning or repairing instrument equipment preferred


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11am - 8pm


Hiring Range: commensurate with experience
