The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead its premier safety programs, Zero Fatalities and Safe Routes Utah. The
Statewide Behavioral Safety Program Manager is responsible for leading the Zero Fatalities program, a statewide safety initiative with the ambitious goal of eliminating fatalities on Utah's roadways, and the Safe Routes Utah Program, which educates elementary age children about pedestrian safety and encourages safe walking and biking to school.This position directs a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to traffic safety that combines Education, Enforcement, Engineering, and Emergency Medical Services (the 4 E's). The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader capable of developing and implementing strategic campaigns and collaborating with a wide range of public and private partners to change driver behavior and save lives.
The Program Manager's duties will include, but are not limited to:* Developing, implementing, and managing statewide public awareness and education campaigns targeting key traffic safety focus areas.
In order to qualify, you must have:* A bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Public Administration, Project Management or a related field of study, OR equivalent experience
AND* At least six (6) years of project and/or program management or other related experience
The ideal candidate for this position will possess:* Proven experience in program management, preferably in public health, public safety, or a related field.
