Job Description:

Job Summary: Responsible for researching, planning, and developing persuasive content that adheres to corporate standards and solicitation technical requirements. Collaborate with upper management and team members to ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals, reports, and other documents. Identify solicitation opportunities for feasibility/consideration, develop necessary documents to support production, and monitor progress towards completion and submission. Perform and develop business processes, workflows, and data analyses. Conduct research on special topics and competitive environment. Follow AFMC, state and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance. SCOPE OF POSITION:


  • Contribute to a full range of proposal development activities including identifying, qualifying, and responding to competitive and non-competitive procurements and grants, including:

+ Search and identify potential public and private funding opportunities including past incumbents, and contracts based on SBD criteria to support the company in making informed decisions.

+ Research organizations and topic areas to develop competitive intelligence reports (CIRs)

+ Plan, communicate, and coordinate response processes, timelines, and responsibilities.

+ To establish cross team collaboration, work with proposal team members which may include internal departments and external partners to ensure proposed solutions are clearly documented and well communicated maintaining timelines.

+ Assess and integrate feedback from SME teams to ensure seamless development of persuasive content and edit proposals.

+ Conduct through review of proposal content and provide edits to ensure proposals compliance, completeness, and competitiveness.

+ Evaluate proposal components post award to include scoring, market research, and competitors’ activities to augment AFMC’s position in future endeavors.

+ Lead or assist with proposal management functions to ensure timely, complete, and compliant submissions for proposals and grant applications.

+ Familiar with federal submission requirements, including finalizing proposal response packets and submitting through the required federal portals.

+ Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to management, internal teams, and external clients.

  • Assist with SBD administration activities including, but not limited to:

+ Collaborating with SBD team and other AFMC staff members to complete tasks and responsibilities.

+ Developing project plans and goals, and monitoring progress to improve departmental process efficiencies.

+ Creating and maintaining business processes, workflows, and accurate documentation to support future proposal development and management reporting.

+ Communicating relevant information, needs, and requests to SBD management as appropriate.

+ Completing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as directed.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal proposal submission processes and requirements.
  • Proficiency with software used in job functions, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) as well as online meeting platforms, SharePoint, and Salesforce or other CRM platform.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with proprietary information and other sensitive business information.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, public speaking, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate creativity and initiative in all job functions.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.

Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices):

EDUCATION:


Required: Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, journalism, business, health care management, or related fields.


Desirable: Master’s degree in technical writing, health care administration, public health, business, or related fields.


EXPERIENCE:


Required: Five (5) years’ experience in grant and proposal writing, and technical writing. Five (5) years’ experience in planning, management, and delivery of successful projects.


Desirable: Expertise in population-based change model, developing public health or community health solutions with outcome-driven strategies
