EMIT Learning is seeking
three experienced and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our partner school site in Geneva, IL, for the 2025-26 school year. If you're passionate about inclusive education and experienced in working with students who have mild to severe disabilities, we’d love to hear from you.- Start Date: August 2025
- Hours: 35-40 hours/week (includes 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Positions Available: 3
- Age Group: All grade levels
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
- California Credential: LBs1 | Special Education (valid and active)
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
- Track and assess progress using standardized testing and alternative assessments
- Collaborate with families, general education staff, and support personnel to build a strong support network
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation for student performance, compliance, and communication
- At least 1 year of experience in a Special Education teaching role
- Experience working with students who have developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and implementing personalized tutoring strategies
- Familiarity with special education compliance requirements and testing processes
