Learning Essentials, we specialize in executive function coaching, dyslexia intervention, strategic writing, and academic support tailored for students with learning differences. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for experienced Special Education professionals to provide 1:1, in-person academic coaching in Montgomery County, Maryland.This is a unique opportunity for educators who want to
stay close to the work that matters, supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs-without the burdens of marketing, billing, or rigid curriculum mandates.- Coach students in executive function, study strategies, test prep, reading, and writing
- Deliver customized academic support aligned with student learning profiles
- Collaborate with families and Learning Essentials� intake team to track growth and goals
- Tutor in student homes or public locations (libraries, etc.) within Montgomery County
- Total Flexibility: You choose your schedule
- No Admin Hassles: We handle marketing, billing, and client intake
- Student Profiles Provided: You walk in with insight, not guesswork
- Purposeful Work: Help bridge learning gaps for students who need it most
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master�s preferred)
- Current Maryland State Teacher Certification
- At least 2 years of experience working with students with IEPs, 504 Plans, or learning differences
- Passion for individualized instruction and student empowerment
- Clear background check (required)
