Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Spanish fluent attorney with experience succeeding at sales or business to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in family law, including having great success with handling initial client consultations and client relationships over the course of handling a client matter. This role is 50/50 consultations and case work, and thus also requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and proficiency in legal drafting. The Attorney will represent clients in legal proceedings, provide sound legal advice, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


Responsibilities


  • Successfully close on 20-40% of qualified leads to sign up with the firm
  • Meticulous management and execution of client interactions both within the actual initial consultation and in working with support staff to ensure the entire process from when the potential client first calls the office to when they open their matter with the firm and perhaps transition to another attorney as lead on their case ensures an optimal client experience.
  • Represent clients in court and during negotiations, ensuring their rights are protected.
  • Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case preparation.
  • Draft legal documents including contracts, wills, pleadings, and motions.
  • Provide expert advice on matters related to landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, securities law, patent law, and tribal law & regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop effective strategies for their legal issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation that may affect clients' cases.
  • Manage case files and maintain organized records within the law office.
  • Assist with litigation processes by preparing evidence and documentation for trial.


Experience


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Illinois.
  • Proven experience in family law.
  • Proven success at sales or initial client consultations.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
  • Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
  • Familiarity with legal research methodologies and tools (LexisNexis and Westlaw).
  • Prior experience in a law office setting.
