motivated and experienced Assistant Ski Area Operations Supervisor to help lead and support the year-round success of Hogadon Basin Ski Area.As the right hand to the Ski Area Superintendent, you'll be at the heart of lift operations, snowmaking, trail maintenance, budgeting, and staff coordination-both on and off the slopes. Incumbent is responsible for assisting with coordinating the organization, staffing, and operational activities for the Hogadon Ski Area, including on and off season.
Receives general guidance from the Ski Area Superintendent or higher-level management.

1. Assists the Ski Area Superintendent in leading staff to include: prioritizing and assigning day-to-day tasks; monitoring daily operations; assisting with staff training; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. In the absence of the Superintendent, authorizes time off, approves payroll, and makes hiring decisions.
2. Assists in planning and scheduling the construction and maintenance of the operational activities for the Hogadon Ski Area.
3. Coordinates and assists with the maintenance of lifts, trails, buildings, and equipment; both on and off season.
4. Assists with budget preparation and administration; prepares costs estimates and justifications for budget items; and monitors expenses to align with the ski area budget.
5. Conducts forest management operations in the ski area, including tree removal and erosion control.
6. Identifies resource needs; participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures; and helps set goals and objectives for work group(s) within the ski area.
7. Prepares operational and statistical reports, assigned.
8. Assists with the work plan for the Hogadon Ski Area; meets with assigned staff to identify and resolve problems; monitors workflow; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures.
9. Represents the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while continuously maintaining a positive customer service demeanor.
10. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
