Buckeye Metal Works, a veteran and family-owned business serving Central Ohio since 1994, is seeking a Sheet Metal & Structural Drafter to join our experienced team. We specialize in custom metal fabrication and installations, offering end-to-end services from CAD design to on-site implementation. This role involves drafting for both sheet metal and structural components, with a strong emphasis on OSHA compliance and fabrication standards.

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for sheet metal and structural components.
  

• Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and field readiness.
  

• Revise drawings based on feedback and job site conditions.
  

• Generate BOMs and fabrication-ready documentation.
  

• Ensure all designs meet OSHA safety standards and applicable building codes.
  

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
  

• Experience in sheet metal and structural drafting.
  

• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and structural safety requirements.
  

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specs.
  

• Associate degree or technical certification in drafting or engineering (preferred).
  

• Familiarity with CNC programming and metal fabrication workflows.
  

• Experience in custom installations or industrial construction.
  

• Knowledge of GD&T, fabrication tolerances, and structural load considerations.
