The Service Advisor is the primary point of contact to communicate repairs, maintenance, and mechanical recommendations to customers. The Service Advisor should have a good understanding of mechanics and must have good communication skills. The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling repairs and processing repairs through the department quickly but in a manner that does not negatively impact the quality of repairs. It is important the the Service Advisor understands each technicians abilities in order to properly assign work. The Service Advisor is responsible for working closely with the Coordinator and other employees to work with vendors and aftermarket warranty companies to obtain pre-authorization for warranty repairs.


This role does earn commission bi-weekly. Commission is in addition to the amount posted.


We require a drug screen and have a ZERO tolerance policy.


Customer Facing


Form professional relationships with customers in order to get a better understanding of their machine application


Process customer requests via telephone in a timely and professional manner


Up-sell maintenance or repairs that are necessary to maintain a healthy and safe machine


Update customers every two days on repairs or processes


Obtain authorization from customers for parts or labor needed to complete repairs


Communicate repairs in a manner that is understandable to the customers


Process customer pick-ups and conduct walk-arounds


Operational Standards


Update repair orders to reflect current information as updated per the technicians


Create cases with manufacturers for escalated issues


Maintain quick responses with manufactures in order to process repairs as timely as possible


Process internal repairs with urgency in order to maintain quick turn-around to not hinder the sale of company owned product


Process trade-ins within 3 days of being added into inventory


Maintain battery records


Oversee quality control of general assemblies and customer repairs


Obtain job codes and authorizations from warranty companies and vendors to insure payment


Maintain a clean and safe shop


Process requests for special tools or shop supplies


Maintain shop supplies


Research problematic repairs by using service manuals and resources to assist technicians


Warranty parts management


Training and Education


Complete training through multiple vendor universities to advance skills and knowledge


Stay up to date on TST's and updated industry technologies


Utilize company training manuals to learn proper procedures
