Title: Senior SQL Database Developer (SSRS/SSIS/PowerBI/Azure Data Factory)
Location: Philadelphia, PA (100% remote)
Duration: 6-12 Months project with a probable extension


Job Description:


Looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior SQL Database Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our enterprise-level database systems. The individual has to be a hands-on developer with 8+ years of experience with a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions to complex business challenges. you will be part of the database and analytics team, you will drive innovation, mentor junior developers, and ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of database systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Understand business requirements and translate them into specific software requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data pipelines.
  • Design and develop dynamic and visually compelling reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Create and maintain high functioning ETL projects for inbound, outbound, and internal datasets.
  • Design and develop SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scheduled tasks to manipulate data in a repeatable and automated manner.
  • Ready to take ad-hoc request from business for data extracts and various reports.
  • Design and execute test scripts and test scenarios
  • Perform all data handling in accordance with enterprise guidelines, and with security and privacy requirements in mind.
  • Support your team and peers through collaborative coding, design sessions, and peer code review


Requirements:


  • 8+ years of experience in SQL Server Database and Data Analytics
  • Experience should include working with business team as well as technical resources
  • Demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions to technology challenges
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in ETL and/or software development, SQL queries, and database technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft data technologies, including SQL Server, Visual Studio, Power BI, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Proficiency in developing ETL workflows, data warehousing concepts, and multidimensional/Tabular models.
  • Strong experience in SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedure development.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Strong documentation skills (e.g. requirements, test scripts, project status, management presentations, etc.)
  • Experience with the software development life cycle
  • Independent worker who takes the initiative to identify and react to new opportunities and projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Preferred:


Experience working with Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory a plus!

Programming and scripting experience in C# and/or VB

Working within healthcare or other regulated industry

Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access experience
