General Overview

This position is a temporary, one-year opportunity to contribute to Rotary’s vision and strategic priorities by providing stakeholders with the information and insights they need to make informed decisions on strategic initiatives. The primary responsibility will be to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of survey data and secondary data. The role is highly collaborative and provides you with the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders.

Workstyle

This position is designated as

Hybrid - Fully Flexible and expected to work from our World Headquarters office once per month to several times a week. The specific days in the office are determined by managers based on business requirements. Rotary is under the jurisdiction of Illinois employment laws; we require all employees to live within reasonable daily commuting distance to Evanston.


You Will Have
  • Master�s degree or equivalent experience (PhD preferred) in Program Evaluation, Social Science, Marketing, Education, Research Methods, Economics, Information Science, Math, Operations Analysis, Public Policy, or related fields
  • Ability to solve complex problems independently and lead research projects
  • Practical experience in cross-cultural evaluation, statistics, measurement and evaluation theory, research methods, and qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and relationship building skills
  • Competence in programming language such as R or equivalent, MS Excel, PowerPoint, web-enabled databases, business intelligence systems, online surveys, SPSS and other statistical analysis software
  • Non-English language skills and/or cross-cultural research and evaluation experience is helpful

  • Designing and implementing program evaluation plans (which may include surveys, focus groups, interviews, secondary data analysis, etc.)
  • Performing, interpreting and reporting complex data analyses, leading to visualizations that can be understood by laypeople
  • Developing and managing data collection/reporting processes and systems
  • Working collaboratively with diverse constituents
  • Online survey programming and distribution
  • Written and oral communication

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Leading longitudinal evaluations of Rotary�s programs and grants across the globe
  • Leading other research and evaluation projects for the organization
  • Synthesizing data from multiple sources (some sources are connected, others are not)
  • Reporting insights to the Rotary International Board of Directors, The Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees, their committees, and other constituents
  • Conducting data analysis
  • Programming and distributing surveys to global audiences
  • Troubleshooting online surveys
  • Ensuring data quality
