Job Description Summary
The Senior Prospect Management Analyst reports to the Director of Advancement Prospect Development and Research and is responsible for maximizing the utilization of prospects at the University. The Senior Prospect Management Analyst leads the departmental prospect utilization effort in regular consultation with fundraising units to support their fundraising goals and objectives. This position will work closely with Advancement Prospect Development colleagues to implement the goal of identifying actionable prospects for schools and centers with the highest likelihood of establishing a philanthropic relationship with the University. This position also leads the departmental effort to analyze the health of prospect portfolios using a variety of metrics including optimization rates, prospect aging and prospect engagement and will collaborate in the development of dashboards and reports to make this data accessible and actionable for fundraisers, and to advise on strategies for major donors.
This role requires a demonstrated familiarity with a wide variety of analytic tools including Business Information (BI) dashboards, statistical models and machine learning to strategically segment the University’s prospect pool and identify prospects with the highest likelihood of establishing a philanthropic relationship with the University. A proven ability to lead a team in a time sensitive environment is a requirement. The Senior Prospect Analyst reports to the Director of Prospect Development.
The Senior Prospect Management Analyst is the department’s primary contact for the Prospect Management Committee and is responsible for ensuring that the established prospect management rules are implemented. The Senior Prospect Management Analyst will build and distribute meeting action items and verify that meeting results are reflected in the system of record.

Job Responsibilities* Lead a team of 3-5 prospect management analysts focused on prospect portfolio management, efficient data analysis, data reporting, and prospect research
Qualifications* Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Recommend 5-7 years of directly relevant experience in a large, complex University or other non-profit fundraising environment with directly relevant and progressively responsible experience in a large, complex University or other non-profit fundraising environment. Excellent ability to interpret and communicate complex and nuanced prospect management procedures. Demonstrated data analysis skills including experience with dashboard and reporting tools like Tableau/QlikView/Power BI and SQL. Ability to assimilate and summarize large data sets. Excellent written and oral presentation skills. Ability to lead in an intensive and time-focused campaign environment and the ability to manage by influence across multiple and diverse Schools, Centers and other fundraising units.
