Do you want to lead the successful implementation of critical technology tools for Chatham County? Apply to be a Senior Project Manager.


Examples of Duties

----------------------


  • Manage the overall conversion and implementation of a variety of technology tools and associated software, allocate and manage financial and staff resources, and develop project timelines, priorities, schedules, and deadlines to achieve project goals.
  • Create, maintain, and refine detailed project plans, ensuring the involvement of appropriate stakeholders to achieve an effective and efficient workflow and process.
  • Develop, assign, and monitor appropriate project roles and responsibilities.
  • Allocate and/or monitor project funds within the budget approved by the Board of Commissioners of Chatham County and prepare budget status report.
  • Work closely with technical and programming staff in the ICS Department on various conversion and implementation processes and issues and serve as liaison between appropriate stakeholders.
  • Make oral and written presentations on the status of projects and other matters.
  • Consult with Vendor(s), Department Head or Official, Purchasing, ICS staff, and appropriate others on matters relating to data conversion, workflows, work processes, training, data security levels, public access, reporting needs, scheduling phases of work and evaluating successful completion, insuring quality control, monitoring testing, overseeing deployment and eventually closing out the project.
  • Verify data conversions for accuracy and integrity through testing and observation and ensure quality and consistency of database information.
  • Resolve problems and conflicts or recommend possible solutions for problems.
  • Meet with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of prototypes and final product.
  • Oversee the launch of the completed management system and provide or supervise the provision of training to end users.
  • Ensure that technical manuals, protocols, and guidance are provided during implementation for proper documentation of processes, workflows, and system usage.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal and change management skills to ensure product acceptance and maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure appropriate project closure by conducting post-implementation evaluations and providing feedback.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor�s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or a closely related field, and
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in a project management, coordination, or planning capacity; or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver�s license.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of payroll and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of UKG Ready.


During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team.


In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing.


Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
