About You and this Role
Dow has an exciting opportunity within Dow Freeport Marine Terminal Operations (FMTO) for a Senior Production Engineer (Run Plant Engineer), located in Freeport, Texas. The Freeport Marine Terminal is a critical facility for the integration of Texas Operations. This role will interface with multiple third parties including Vopak (VIIA), Olin, and MEGlobal in addition to other critical external business stakeholders.
As the Senior Production (Run Plant) Engineer, you will be a vital resource for the FMTO Team by applying technical skills to optimize plant processes, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient operations
The Run Plant Engineer serves as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient operations at the Terminal. This position requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within job discipline. You will use site logistics / logistics knowledge, technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues which improve safety, process performance and reliability. The Run Plant Engineer performs routine assignments and solves standard problems using existing procedures and applies general knowledge developed through education or past experience to solve advanced issues, while closely working with the Team to deliver on the Terminal’s objectives.
This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infraâ€) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027. At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company. *Responsibilities* Works closely with the operations team leveraging their problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
Required Qualifications* A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications* A degree discipline in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Your Skills* Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to respond urgently to plant issues, perform advanced troubleshooting, and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
