A confidential Life Sciences organization is seeking a
Senior DeltaV Controls Engineer to lead full life-cycle automation projects in a regulated pharmaceutical or biomanufacturing environment. This role requires deep expertise with Emerson DeltaV, strong project leadership, and comfort navigating cGMP standards.- Lead the design and implementation of DeltaV control systems
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication
- Design batch sequencing, ISA-88/ISA-101-compliant HMI graphics
- Develop scalable, class-based automation architecture
- Integrate 3rd-party systems via OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP
- Specify and procure instrumentation and control hardware
- Ensure compliance with GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and cGMP
- Coordinate and execute FAT/SAT testing and validation
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally
- Travel up to 25% for site support, commissioning, and review
- 8-15 years of hands-on experience with DeltaV (Live + Operate)
- Expertise with ISA-88, HART, Fieldbus, Profibus, SCADA, and historian systems
- Strong experience in Life Sciences (biotech, pharma, or medical device)
- Proficient in industrial networking, power distribution, and electrical integration
- Bachelor's in Electrical, Chemical, or Control Systems Engineering
- Bonus: Experience with Rockwell, Siemens PCS7, or Ignition
