This location is a Distribution Center. Overtime opportunities are available throughout the summer months. Throughout June- September will include mandatory and overtime hours based on needs of the business.

Lakeside Book Company is currently seeking a Seasonal Shipping Material Handler to play a vital role in our operations. As a Shipping Material Handler, you will be at the heart of our logistics process, ensuring that products are packed, labeled, and shipped efficiently and accurately. Your attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with fellow team members will help us maintain a smooth and organized workflow. Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  
• Sort and organize materials in accordance with warehouse procedures.
  
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping area at all times.
  
• Assist in inventory management by conducting periodic stock checks.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required.
  
• Steel-toe shoes are required for this position.
  
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 75lbs, during an 8 to 10-hour shift.
  
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  
• Ability to work mandatory overtime which could include Saturdays.
  
• Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
  
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technology.
  
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
  

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay - $17.50/hr
  
• Shift - Monday to Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm, with mandatory overtime are required.
  
• Location - 5550 W. 74th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268
  
• This is a seasonal position with no guarantee of a permanent role offer.
