School Van Driver - Regular Driver's License Only

Camden Rockport School District is seeking a school bus driver for 30 hours per week (additional hours may be available for field trips and athletic events). This position is responsible for ensuring passenger safety and performing basic vehicle inspections. Paid training to obtain the necessary license and/or endorsements may be available with a one-year work commitment.

• Transport students and other passengers to and from school, and between school and events/field trips as needed.
  
• Obey all traffic laws.
  
• Ensure passenger safety.
  
• Discipline students as needed to maintain a safe environment.
  
• Perform vehicle safety inspections.
  

• Attention to vehicle safety.
  
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  

• Background check, including fingerprinting and a driving record check.
  
• Maine Class B Driver�s License with S & P endorsements along with air brakes.
  
• DOT Physical.
  
• Pre-Employment drug testing.
  

• Pay starts at $22.75 per hour with possibility of increase based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract
