Job Title: Sales Engineer


Company Description: D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc. is a technologically advanced family- owned manufacturing company experienced with producing close tolerance CNC precision machined, fabricated/welded components, electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures servicing major corporations.


Job Summary: The Sales Engineer will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical expertise and sales knowledge to promote and sell complex technical products or solutions. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, demonstrate the value proposition of our products, and provide technical support throughout the sales process. Your role will involve collaborating with sales teams, engineers, and customers to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.


Reports to: Customer Account Manager


Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.


A minimum of five years’ experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or related field.


Strong technical aptitude and understanding of complex technical products or solutions, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.


Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze customer requirements and develop innovative solutions.


Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.


Ability to bend, sit, stand, or walk for long -periods and lifting, up to 35 lbs.


Job Responsibilities:


Technical Sales Support: Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team.


Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business requirements, leveraging your technical expertise and knowledge of the product portfolio.


Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s capabilities.


Sales Strategy: Work with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies, identify key accounts, and prioritize sales opportunities to maximize revenue growth.


Technical Expertise: Stay informed about industry standards and technologies, providing insights and recommendations to the sales team and customers.


Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and presentations, addressing customer needs and demonstrating the value proposition of our capabilities and solutions.


Sales Support: Provide technical support to the sales team.


Preferred Skills:


Knowledge of Epicor software helpful


Knowledge of MS Office including excel, word and outlook.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30 pm


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour


Expected hours: 40 per week
