Sales Associate/Inventory

Eastern Equipment & Supply is looking for a driven retail Sales Associate to be responsible for all sales job duties, from generating leads to closing sales. Duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. Must be willing to train & gain product knowledge to be able to restock shelves & find products for customers. To be successful as a sales associate, you are encouraged to stay up-to-date with product features & are required to help maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service and work with the Eastern Equipment & Supply team to maintain a positive, professional business environment.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  
• Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  
• Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions
  
• Assist in creating a positive, professional & safe work environment.
  
• �Go the extra mile†to assist customers & maintain a clean, organized store
  
• Actively seek out customers in store
  
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  
• Cross sell products
  
• Handle returns of merchandise
  
• Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
  
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
  
• Comply with inventory control procedures
  
• Assist with inventory receiving & stocking
  
• Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor/manager
  

• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  
• Proficient in English
  
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
  
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
  
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  
• Take initiative to learn & stay productively busy
  
• Must be able to work well independently & as a team
  

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
