Sales Associate

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while driving sales and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their needs, managing transactions, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.
  
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions and ensuring accurate cash handling.
  
• Demonstrate product knowledge through engaging product demos to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
  
• Utilize effective upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  
• Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked and readily available for customers.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and checkout area.
  
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
  
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries via phone or other communication channels.
  

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
  
• Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
