DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will act as the county reimbursable activity reports coordinator, overseeing all reported damage to highway infrastructure. This includes an assessment of accident reports obtained from law enforcement or media sources. Duties include providing support as a backup purchaser for county purchasing card transactions related to fleet components, repair services, office supplies, concrete, bridge materials, and other necessary county items. Additionally, you will be responsible for referring complex matters to the Roadway Programs Coordinator. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the county's transportation facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:* Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

+ Hours may vary based upon seasonal operational needs.

  • This position requires overtime, travel, and shift-work.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:* One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
  • One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
