Position Overview:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Quality Coordinator to join our dedicated team at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette, IN. This full-time role is integral to our commitment to quality improvement and patient care excellence. This role requires travel, weekly visits to IU Health Tipton and monthly visits to IU Health White Memorial and Frankfort Hospitals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate continuous quality improvement initiatives across all patient populations.
  • Lead specific work groups and work independently to identify gaps in clinical care and barriers to access, aligning interventions with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Facilitate performance improvement processes in collaboration with project team leaders.
  • Conduct training and educational programs for staff and physicians on performance improvement methodologies, data analysis, and work simplification techniques.
  • Collaborate with critical access sites and community hospitals to enhance surgical performance, obstetric care, and consistency in healthcare delivery.
  • Drive efforts to reduce variances in patient care across different demographics.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Masters degree in clinical healthcare or business preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Certified Public Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA., preferred Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Experience in report writing and graphical display preferred.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Applications preferred.
