The Ride Attendant is responsible for operating assigned ride in a safe manner, in accordance with all policies and procedures. This position requires close contact with the public, the ability to work well with co-workers, and assists Santa’s guests in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
The Ride Attendant will interact with guests, assist with inquiries, and help ensure a pleasant visit for all.
Position requires frequent reaching, stretching, stooping and climbing up and down stairs. Much of the workday consists of standing and walking. Many of our rides either have a spinning feature or you are exposed to heights so the ideal candidate must be able to operate a ride in that environment. Often this person will be required to lift boxes weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have the following physical capabilities to ensure guest safety on any given ride:
Daytime and Christmastime position which may include weekends and holidays. Position is mostly outdoors.
Ride Attendants may work in any of the following extreme weather situations:
+ Attendants will work in hot and sunny weather, often with high humidity, especially in summer months
+ Attendants may have to work in light rain or deal with temporary ride closures due to more severe weather like thunderstorms or heavy rain.
+ In areas with frequent winds, attendants may need to monitor weather conditions to ensure safe operation of rides, as some attractions could be closed or restricted during high winds.
+ Attendants may be required to work in low temperatures, possibly with snow or ice.
+ Will need to dress warmly, including wearing layers, gloves, hats, and appropriate outerwear.
+ Depending on the location, there may be wind chill factors or occasional snow, which could impact visibility and comfort.
