Residential HVAC Service Technician

We are hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to provide repairs and maintenance on residential air conditioning systems and furnaces.


The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Understand the sequence of operation for heating equipment and refrigeration cycles.
  • Repair and maintain thermostats, air filters, blower fans, belts, and bearings.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various makes and models of HVAC equipment including AC and furnaces, heat pumps, and mini-split systems.
  • Perform refrigerant checks, leak detection, and recovery in compliance with EPA standards.
  • Have a commitment to high-level customer service and provide quality recommendations.
  • Maintain personal tools according to company guidelines.

  • Perform daily work duties associated with the trade with little to no supervision in the field.
  • Work with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers about how to properly use their new HVAC equipment.
  • Maintain and properly care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Attend training seminars for products and other brands of equipment.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Certification or associate degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
  • Hold OSHA 10 and EPA certifications or willing to obtain
  • NATE certifications or willing to obtain
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections
  • Familiarity with local HVAC regulations and building codes
  • Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics, capable to handle heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
  • The physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, squat, kneel, grasp, lift, manipulate hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Ability to identify and resolve issues during installations
  • Possess a valid driver?s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
