Residential HVAC Service Technician
- Understand the sequence of operation for heating equipment and refrigeration cycles.
- Repair and maintain thermostats, air filters, blower fans, belts, and bearings.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various makes and models of HVAC equipment including AC and furnaces, heat pumps, and mini-split systems.
- Perform refrigerant checks, leak detection, and recovery in compliance with EPA standards.
- Have a commitment to high-level customer service and provide quality recommendations.
- Maintain personal tools according to company guidelines.

- Perform daily work duties associated with the trade with little to no supervision in the field.
- Work with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
- Communicate with customers about how to properly use their new HVAC equipment.
- Maintain and properly care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Attend training seminars for products and other brands of equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certification or associate degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred
- 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
- Hold OSHA 10 and EPA certifications or willing to obtain
- NATE certifications or willing to obtain
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections
- Familiarity with local HVAC regulations and building codes
- Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics, capable to handle heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
- The physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, squat, kneel, grasp, lift, manipulate hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Ability to identify and resolve issues during installations
- Possess a valid driver?s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
