Level II Project Manager Job Description


The level II Project Manager is critical in representing Gray Construction and may often be the only contact a business or vendor will have with Gray Construction, so the encounter must be strictly professional. Safety conscious at all times. Will meet weekly with team and or Subs to go over schedule. Will be involved in new homes, additions, renovations and kitchen and bathroom remodels. May have many jobs going simultaneously. Frame to finish mentality. Making sure there is an efficient flow of materials to and from job site. Always reviewing contract for accuracy. Clean job site is a must.


Roles and responsibilities


  • Safety awareness
  • Attend bi-weekly production meetings
  • Interpret Drawings and contract information prior to commencing work, make sure you have proper tools for the job at hand.
  • Demo as needed per scope directions
  • Order materials as needed, Select and evaluate materials for defects
  • Scheduling Projects
  • Start all construction processes per scope, following all code requirements,
  • Organize and schedules Sub Contractors as needed.
  • Document job status and changes as required.
  • Other job tasks as required


Qualifications and skills


  • Safety inspections and root cause analysis
  • Organizational skills
  • Decision making on the fly
  • 2+ years� experience in finish carpentry preferred
  • 4+ years� experience in framing carpentry preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw and jigsaw
  • Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites
  • Willingness to work some overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
  • Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds
  • Knowledge of types of moldings, lumber, and hardware.
