Perform carpenter-related tasks to maintain, renovate, and/or repair the properties of the community.
· Evaluates all assignments to determine time and materials required to complete the assignment.
· Performs rough and finish carpentry tasks.
· Effects repairs to floors, walls, and roofing systems using industry standards materials.
· Ability to frame roofing systems, install all types of roofing such as shingles and metal.
· Perform general carpentry duties such as repairing and installing doors, windows, and doors, etc.
· Uses and cares for portable and shop equipment.
· Perform other duties as directed.
· Understands and adheres to department policy and procedures.
· Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times
· Resolves conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner, asks for assistance as needed.
· Participates actively in department team and all staff meetings.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Attendance at work and punctuality is an essential function of this position; Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Basic math skills; Ability to work without supervision;
Required physical abilities; standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, work in outside climate; Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manuals.
