Responsibilities:
The Rehabilitation Technician performs routine activities as assigned by a therapist and/or therapy assistant to support the provision of patient services and rehabilitation department operations.
1. Assists in departmental communications as delegated, which may include attendance at meetings, communicating with nursing staff, telephoning, and ordering supplies and equipment.
2. Assists therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and providing clinical education to meet the needs of the patient.
3. Attends and contributes to in-services and staff meetings as requested.
4. Performs clerical duties within the department, including maintenance of patient files and records under the direction of the therapist.
5. Observes patients for any change in status and reports to therapists. Ensures the safety of patients.
6. Adjusts equipment upon request and under the direction of the therapist.
7. Cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas, according to all specific safety and infection control policies and procedures.
8. Puts Patient Service first: Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights.
9. Provides simultaneous assistance to a treating Therapists/Therapy Assistants (OT/OTA, PT/PTA, SLP) during group and individual therapy sessions, e.g. equipment set-up and assistance to ensure safety.
10. Assists in scheduling, transporting and preparation of patients for rehabilitation services.
11. As assigned and directed by therapists and assistants, follows through with Client Related and Non-Client Related tasks that are in compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines and payor policies.
12. As assigned, follows through with maintenance therapy programs and/or restorative nursing programs when required at site of service under the direct supervision of therapists and/or nursing personnel.
13. Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. The Rehabilitation Technician must possess a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification as a Nursing Assistant is also preferred (unless required by state).

Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification (full-time, part-time, or casual), job grade, location, and length of service.
Posted Salary Range: USD $20.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
