As a Rehab Aide at GMC, you'll enjoy the unique experience of working in a Critical Access Hospital, where you will be responsible for providing hands-on assistance to patients who are recovering from injuries or illnesses. You'll commonly assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom. You may also help patients exercise or practice specific physical skills like walking or sitting up in bed.


What You'll Do


  • Perform exercise prescriptions under the guidance of the therapists
  • Assisting therapists with transporting and preparing patients for treatments.
  • Preparing supplies and equipment and setting up treatment rooms for therapy sessions.
  • Cleaning equipment and treatment rooms before and after therapy sessions.
  • Maintaining equipment and notifying the therapist if there are any problems.
  • Performing routine, non-clinical patient care tasks.
  • Maintaining inventory supplies, ordering stock, and keeping stock areas clean and organized.
  • Completing paperwork and updating patient files.
  • Answering phones, setting up appointments, and responding to patient queries.
  • Manning the reception desk to greet patients, schedule treatments, and coordinate the therapists and treatment room schedules.
  • All other duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certified or obtained within three (3) months of employment.
  • BLS/CPR certified or obtained within three (3) months of employment
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Data entry and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.


Physical Requirements


  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.


Additional Job Information:


  • This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
  • Position may be eligible for recruitment incentives. For example: Sign-on, Moving Assistance, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.
  • Typical Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
