PRIMARY FUNCTION: The job of the Regional CTAE Supervisor is to coordinate and support CTAE programs at elementary, middle, and high school levels to ensure that CTAE program outcomes achieve school, district, state and/or federal objectives. This job reports to Senior Director of CTAE, STEAM & Robotics.


REQUIREMENTS:


1. Educational Level:


Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in job related area.


2. Certification/License:


Valid Georgia teaching certification; Valid GA Certificate in Educational Leadership, Tier 1.


3. Experience:


Minimum of three years in a CTAE related field.


4. Physical Activities:

5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:


KNOWLEDGE is required to perform advanced math; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: age appropriate activities, school district policies pertaining to students and employees.


SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying time management skills, supervising, scheduling, computer skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1.


Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met.


2.


Collaborate with CTAE Director, principals, department chairs, and teachers in planning, scheduling and implementing CTAE career pathways, courses, and other related programs at middle and high


3.


Provide oversight of the delivery of the work-based learning program, transition programs within assigned schools, program area advisory committees, and career and technical student organizations (CTSOs) trips.


4.


Hold regular meetings with the CTAE teachers at middle and high schools to communicate processes and procedures.


5.


Direct and coordinate CTAE local school budgets and grant budgets, including processing requisitions for supplies and equipment purchases, professional leave requests, expense statements, career and technical student organizations (CTSOs) trips, inventory reports, etc.


6.


Plan, monitor and maintain effective CTAE labs. This includes reviewing current course standards and researching alternative vendors in order to secure appropriate equipment, textbooks, and software.


7.


Prepare high school CTAE programs at assigned schools for Industry Certification, including attending related training workshops, assisting individual teachers with certification requirements, and managing the related grant budgets.


8.


Work to improve performance of assigned schools on Perkins Core Indicators and as directed by the CTAE Director and CTAE Monitoring & Risk Assessment Improvement Plans.


9.


Assist teachers with selecting appropriate professional development opportunities in order to achieve and/or maintain certification requirements, as well as meet requirements of their programs of work.


10.


Perform supplementary walk-throughs as directed by school principals in order to provide additional feedback for the schools’ evaluation process.


11.


Assist high school teachers with the selection of End of Pathway Assessments and with purchasing appropriate study materials.


12.


Work with the school testing coordinators and the Department of Research, Accountability and Assessment to coordinate the administration of End of Pathway Assessments.


13.


Work with elementary, middle, and high school counselors in order to meet Perkins V federal program mandates the delivery of CTAE programs in grades K-12.


14.


Serve as a liaison between high schools and postsecondary institutions in order to assist with transition activities.

Assist the CTAE Director with preparation of the CTAE Consolidated Application for all secondary


16.


Process and maintain all inventory and records for middle and high school programs as required by the district and State Department (GaDOE) related to CTAE.


17.


Prepare annual data CTAE data reports and communicate with school administrators to develop comprehensive planning.


18.


Work with the CTAE Director to approve CTAE teachers’ annual reports and programs of work through the CTAE Resource Network (CTAERN.org) web-based program.


19.


Work with the CTAE Director to update Certified/Classified Personnel Information (CPI) data collection system each year in order to report all faculty and staff members to GaDOE since CTAE funding is based on the accuracy of this report.


20.


Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops, committees, job-related training and other professional learning programs for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines.


21.


Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education.


22.


Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
