Quality Control Inspector Assistant

Assistant Quality Control Inspector in our Matthews, NC office. We are in southeast Charlotte and offer a fast-paced work environment with ample opportunity for growth and professional development. ICE® seeks a full-time

Assistant Quality Control Inspector to support the machining/fabrication shops. The primary objective is to inspect produced parts to ensure they meet specifications according to engineering and customer expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Interpreting engineering specifications and using the most effective and efficient methods of inspection

· Coordinate with the engineering to ensure consistent quality of product

· Inspect and accept products in conformance with all quality standards and customer requirements

· Communicate and explain discrepancies with staff and provide solutions for improvement

· Maintain equipment condition to not compromise safety

· Assist lead Quality Control Inspector with daily duties

Qualifications:

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Understanding of accepted and common inspection techniques

o Operational familiarity of a FARO arm

· One to three years of manufacturing or assembly experience with knowledge of the quality function

o Preferably in a Machine/Fabrication Shop)

· Proficient with computers and other Quality Inspection software and equipment

· Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings

· Knowledge of relative safety standards

· Maintain good attendance, be reliable, and willing to work required hours to meet production schedules

· Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand on your feet for the duration of your shift, and wear appropriate PPE

You must be able to pass a drug test, background check as it relates to the role, and complete an I-9 form.

Pay for this position will be commensurate with experience as it relates to the requirements and expectations of the position as outlined above.
