Quality Assurance Manager Glanbia Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life’s journey The Opportunity

Promote and advance food safety and bio-security, facilitate continual quality improvements and manage the QA laboratory and product release. This permanent position will report to the Senior QA Manager.

• Organize, coordinate, monitor, and champion the Quality System and Food Safety Systems in accordance to SQF requirements - Pre-requisite programs, HACCP, FSMA and Food Quality plans
  
• Leader of the Quality Pillar and driver of continuous improvements for Zero quality defects utilizing GPS tools and principles.
  
• Provide leadership and support to ensure all our internal and external processes are fully capable to deliver premium product to customers on timely basis.
  
• Coordinates with the laboratory function to see results are produced quickly and accurately to ensure product matches customer�s specifications.
  
• SQF Practitioner for the site, overseeing the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the SQF programs with annual review and responsible for validating any changes to the Food Safety and Food Quality Plans
  
• Evaluate and monitor ingredients, packaging and processing aid suppliers for compliance to Vendor Assurance Policy.
  
• Grade and evaluate finished products and determine product release and distribution based on customer requirements.
  
• Ensure customer specifications are being met and manage complaint investigations and customer responses.
  
• Participate in all State, FDA, USDA, PMO, Organic and other third party audits ensuring corrective actions are completed and documented.
  
• Work with plant management to track plant Quality performance to key performance indicators (KPI).
  
• Have certification with State of Idaho for antibiotic screening on milk.
  
• Ensure employees have adequate knowledge of GMP�s and Food Safety programs and supervise that training is completed per requirements and is effective.
  
• Oversee analytical testing, ensure accuracy of in-process analysis and monitor calibration of analytical equipment.
  
• Maintain and manage plant QA budgets.
  
• Responsible for documentation and corrective actions involving Quality Systems
  
• Coordinate timely responses on customer opportunities and implement corrective and preventative actions according to site priorities
  
• Responsible for SAP Master Data maintenance and changes for product testing plans and customer specifications and COA set up and changes.
  
• Timely and regular attendance is required.
  

The Skills you will bring to the team* Preference for Bachelor's degree from college or university with min of 4 years related experience

• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  
• Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
  
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaint from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  
• Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
  
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
  
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
