· Responsible for maintaining tank levels
· Operation and adjusting pump rates at various pump stations and well sites
· Verifying that chemical feed pumps are in good working order and delivering the correct dosage of chemicals.
· They must make rounds to all the infrastructure sites, including pump stations, wells, and tanks.
· Employee must monitor water quality (chlorine, PH and fluoride) and fill out all required paperwork with the results during their shift.
· Responsible for entering all data in daily logbooks for chemicals, water production, pump rates and pressures at all sites. The pump station is manned 24hrs a day 7 days a week.
When the employee is not assigned to the Pump Station the following duties would fall under Laborer:
Laborer/Construction Worker, duties include but not limited to the following:· Meter installation and meter reading.
· Hydrant flushing, repairs.
· Water main installation and water service repair.
· Maintenance of buildings and grounds.
· Cleaning and exercising of valves, location and operation of water services.
· Perform preventative maintenance on pumps and other infrastructure including valves, flow meters etc.
· Must be available for Emergency callbacks and Holidays/Weekends as needed and participate in other emergency response declared by the Town.
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Must have or be able to obtain RI Grade II Treatment Operator License withing 18 months from the date of hire.
Must have or obtain a RI Grade II Distribution License within 18 months from the date of hire.
Must have a valid Motor Vehicle Operator License.
The base pay for this position is
