- Collaborate with community groups and lead public education efforts to influence knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors around health topics.
- Develop and support policies, systems, and environmental strategies that make healthy choices easier and more accessible.
- Engage with policymakers, stakeholders, and the public to promote evidence-based practices for youth substance use prevention-particularly tobacco and cannabis.
- Facilitate and participate in coalitions, task forces, and community initiatives.
- Evaluate health education materials and programming for effectiveness.
- Support program planning, data analysis, reporting, and budget preparation.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, public agencies, and local organizations.
- Assist in preparing public communication, including news releases, website content, and social media messaging.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of public health theory, behavioral science, and health education principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Ability to evaluate program outcomes and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Comfortable working with diverse populations and building collaborative relationships.
