Roles and Responsibilities:


The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of awarded commercial masonry and concrete projects from pre-construction through closeout. This includes reviewing scope and contract documents, coordinating with field and office teams, managing budgets and schedules, handling submittals, RFIs, change orders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication, timely documentation, and successful project execution.


  • Project Handoff & Scope Review
  • Receive formal handoff from Estimator, including detailed scope of work, budget, takeoff, drawings, contract documents, and any clarifications.
  • Review contract terms, drawings, and specifications to confirm alignment with estimated scope.
  • Identify and document scope gaps, discrepancies, or missing information early.
  • Pre-Construction Planning
  • Create project schedule in coordination with General Superintendent.
  • Coordinate and submit submittals, RFIs, material approvals, and project-specific documents.
  • Procure long-lead-time materials and ensure timely material delivery.
  • Review and confirm manpower requirements with field supervision.
  • Project Execution & Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Miller Construction and the general contractor.
  • Attend project meetings and relay critical information to the field team.
  • Track and manage project costs, including change orders, labor productivity, and materials.
  • Work with accounting on pay applications, lien waivers, and compliance documents.
  • Maintain organized documentation including daily reports, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
  • Change Order Management
  • Identify, document, and price change conditions in a timely manner.
  • Submit and track change order requests; ensure executed approvals before work is performed when possible.
  • Coordinate with estimator when needed for pricing assistance.
  • Field & Office Communication
  • Maintain strong communication with General Superintendent and Foremen to ensure field execution aligns with project requirements.
  • Resolve field issues quickly by coordinating with suppliers, engineers, and general contractors as needed.
  • Project Closeout
  • Ensure all punch list items are completed and project is turned over cleanly.
  • Submit closeout documentation, warranties, and final lien waivers.
  • Perform post-job review to evaluate performance against budget, schedule, and scope.


Required/Recommended Experience:


· Bachelor's degree and/or 3 years of industry experience, preferred


· Strong interest in learning more about the industry and being a part of our growing team


· Must have valid and clear driving record


· English speaking required; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred


· Must possess great written and verbal communication skills


· Must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Outlook, and Excel


· Knowledge of Procore preferred
