General Description


The Production Specialist / Technician plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. This position is responsible for running production molds, assisting across the production floor, and maintaining equipment and work areas. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, great communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with both the Quality and Production teams.


Essential Functions:


  • Troubleshoots and repair multi-departmental equipment.
  • Performs safe and efficient mold changes following standard procedures.
  • Repair hydraulic cylinders and leaks, replace heaters and ejector pins, repair coolant passages
  • Ensure proper setup, performance, and quality output of production presses and molds.
  • Conducts ongoing in-process inspections of molded parts in the designated area (row).
  • Coordinates closely with the Quality team to ensure compliance of part specifications.
  • Keeps designated production areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
  • Assists across the production floor as needed to meet overall production goals.
  • Suggests solutions and process improvements to enhance quality and safety.

Requirements:

Education & Training requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably with molding or machine operation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and process documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance practices is a plus.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.


Work Experience Requirements


  • Knowledge and experience of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical.
  • Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
  • Always makes safety a priority.
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
  • The ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Detail-oriented and Reliable
