Position Summary:

The Production Associate is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations in the chemical blending and bottling process. This role involves handling raw materials, operating blending and filling equipment, monitoring product quality, and packaging finished goods while strictly adhering to safety, environmental, and quality protocols. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


Measure, mix, and blend raw chemical materials according to batch instructions and production schedules.


Operate and monitor machinery used in the bottling and packaging of liquid chemical products.


Fill containers (bottles, jugs, drums, totes) with finished product using automated or semi-automated systems.


Label, cap, seal, and package products according to production specifications.


Perform quality checks on in-process and finished products for correct formulation, volume, packaging, and/or labeling.


Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and material usage reports.


Follow all safety and environmental regulations, including proper handling and storage of hazardous materials (HAZMAT).


Assist with equipment cleaning, sanitation, and changeovers between product batches.


Keep work areas clean and organized, including routine housekeeping tasks.


Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material inconsistencies, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.


Support inventory control by reporting raw material usage and packaging supply needs.


Experience, Education, Certifications and Licensures:
  • Preferred 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, batch sheets, and safety protocols.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to work with chemicals using appropriate PPE.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work overtime if required.
  • Experience in chemical blending or handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) a plus.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or ISO standards preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry or using production software.


Physical Requirements:
  • Constantly moves or transports items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to work required shift.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time for up to 4 hours in length with infrequent breaks.
  • Constantly performs duties that are repetitive in nature or require repetitive movement.
  • Must have the ability to judge that product is moving through equipment properly.
  • Must be able to constantly recognize product types and safety/warning material (some small in size).
  • Constantly required to identify color coded safety & warning areas/notices (most commonly colored yellow and red and some in small print) in order to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Constantly works in an environment that includes: seasonal heat & humidity; exposure to safety areas with moving equipment; dust/dirt; noise; vibrations from equipment; lighting differences; and occasional fumes.
  • Constantly required to position self in order to remove or replace product and operate equipment.
  • Frequently receives or exchanges information with management or other personnel regarding work requests or issues.
  • Must be able to identify and react to potential hazards.
  • Must be able to do basic math functions.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.


Based on individual states’ employment laws, the salary for this position is $17.50 per hour. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate, including experience and location.
