Fives North American Combustion, Inc. is hiring a permanent, full-time Product Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, OH.

• Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
  
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define, design, and deliver new products, technical solutions, and enhancements that meet the needs of the company, clients, and end users.
  
• Contributes to product training seminars and presentations.
  
• Develops and maintains product documentation.
  
• Provides customer support in escalated cases.
  
• Develops standards and documentation for new product designs.
  
• Creatively designs products to enhance performance and optimize cost.
  
• Identifies and leads continuous product improvement efforts.
  
• Designs for manufacturability in all cases.
  

Utilizes current product standards as a baseline to design cost-effective engineered specials that meet customer specifications.

• Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
  
• Solid understanding of general mechanical and thermal engineering sciences, specifically Fluid Mechanics.
  
• Familiar with 3D CAD design software (CREO/Pro-E preferred) to turn concepts into functional equipment.
  
• Able to specify materials and demonstrate knowledge of stress, strain, and strength evaluation methods to ensure product durability.
  
• Knowledge of casting design and machining, fabrication design, and ceramics is a plus.
  
• General proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills.
  
• Willing to travel in support of sales and customer jobs.
  

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
