Product Design Engineer

Position: Product Design Engineer

We are an established, continuously growing, ISO 9001:2015, Columbiana County OH company, incorporated in 1995, with an A+ BBB rating, that engages in the following in-house work:

· Industrial Contracting

· Structural Fabrications (AISC Accredited)

· Pressure Fabrications (ASME BVPC U, UM, R stamps)/Pipe B31.3, B31.8, API 1104/Mechanical Fabrications)

· Original Equipment Design and Manufacturing

· Professional Engineering Services

Job Duties:

1. Apply engineering principles and practices to various design applications related to machine designs for proprietary Company products and Customer applications

2. Initial focus will be on remote-controlled hydraulic powered equipment, designed for material and personnel handling, in the industrial and construction industries

3. Perform extensive FEA, utilizing Autodesk Inventor, on Company and/or Customer applications

4. Utilize Autodesk Inventor for modeling of Company and/or Customer designs

5. Create one line diagrams for hydraulic and fluid applications

6. Create technical specifications as needed

7. Manage projects (PM) as directed, while adhering to product milestones and deadlines

8. Create budgets, set up schedules, and maintain scheduling updates utilizing Microsoft Project

9. Daily interface and assistance with Company Drafting and Fabrication departments, on jobs in progress, from commencement, through final QC validation.

7. Average of 47-50-hour weeks

Technical Requirements:

1. Established technical background in Mechanical Engineering (Machine Design), concentration in product design and development, minimal 2 years’ experience

2. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

3. PE license, or EI designation, with track towards licensure

4. High Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D Software

5. High proficiency with Autodesk Inventor FEA

Pay:

1. Depending on experience and qualification(s): $80,000-$100,000 salary plus a robust profit-sharing plan

2. Eligible sign on bonus from $4,000-$5,000 (5% of first year salary)

Travel Requirements: Occasional visits (1-2 times/month) to various job sites and customer offices, typically located within 120 miles of New Waterford, OH.
