The Process Safety Engineer is responsible for leading and managing process safety initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. This role focuses on identifying and mitigating risks associated with chemical and manufacturing processes while driving continuous improvement in process safety management (PSM) systems. The ideal candidate will have a some background in process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, as well as experience working in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
Process Safety Management (PSM) & Compliance* Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of PSM programs in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 and other applicable regulations.
Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation* Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including consequence modeling, dispersion analysis, and fire/explosion risk evaluations.
Training & Collaboration* Provide process safety training to engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel to enhance safety awareness and competency.
Audits & Continuous Improvement* Conduct internal PSM audits to assess program effectiveness and compliance.
Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, or a related field required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
