The Role: What You’ll OwnStrategic Cloud Leadership

• Define and evolve the company-wide cloud architecture roadmap across AWS, GCP, and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
  
• Advise the C-suite on cloud trends, TCO trade-offs, and licensing models that best support product growth and margin targets.
  
• Champion a �cloud-first, automation-everywhere†mindset, embedding IaC and GitOps practices across engineering teams.
  

Collaborative Cloud Execution

• Partner with Engineering, DevOps, Data, and Security leads to translate product requirements into scalable reference architectures.
  
• Lead proof-of-concepts for new cloud services (e.g., Bedrock, GKE Autopilot, Azure OpenAI) and own the production rollout plan.
  
• Establish golden-path templates, landing zones, and guardrails to accelerate feature delivery while maintaining compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP).
  

Cloud Infrastructure & Scalability

• Drive continuous improvement in reliability (SLOs, chaos engineering), performance (latency, throughput), and cost (FinOps) across all environments.
  
• Oversee multi-region disaster-recovery design, backup strategy, and incident-response playbooks.
  
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate enterprise agreements, and evaluate third-party tools for observability, security, and platform engineering.
  

Who You Are: Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of hands-on cloud architecture or solutions engineering experience, including 3+ years at the Staff, Principal, or Lead level.
  
• Deep expertise designing, deploying, and operating large-scale systems on at least two major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  
• Proven track record implementing IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo, Jenkins).
  
• Strong grounding in networking, container orchestration (Kubernetes), serverless patterns, and security best practices (IAM, KMS, encryption).
  
• Comfortable presenting complex technical concepts and business cases to executives, customers, and board members.
  
• Leadership DNA: able to mentor senior engineers, influence cross-functional roadmaps, and foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
