Primary Care Telemedicine Physician :
- Position is in Telemedicine and Utilization Management, Medical Services.
- Works under the general direction of the Chief Physician and Surgeon, Telemedicine Services.
- Follows CCHCS standards, policies, procedures, protocols, and legal mandates.
- Provides temporary clinic relief / shorter term assignments.
- Assists with:
- Institutional gaps in coverage
- Fluctuating patient volumes
- Backlogs
- Leaves of absence
- Vacancies
- Evaluates, diagnoses, treats patients, and provides preventative services via telemedicine.
- Supports appropriate access to medical care for patients in assigned institutions.
- Supports institution-based clinical teams.
- Provides clinical direction to non-physician team members, as appropriate.
- Provides on-call duties.
- Participates in program development, implementation, and statewide quality improvement efforts.
- Excellent computer skills
- Above-average competency with EHRs
- Experience with complicated medical problems
- Above-average medical knowledge and experience managing complicated medical cases
- Ability to use different software applications
- Ability to multitask at a fast pace
- Ability to work independently without much support
- Excellent communication skills with a remote team (via phone, email, and Skype)
- BLS from AHA
- CURES registration
- DEA certification
- PCP License copy
- Driver's License copy
