Press Brake Operator to join our team. This role also includes operating a CNC laser cutter, CNC tube cutter, and welding and general assembly as required to support our production schedule.The ideal candidate will have experience operating a CNC equipment, have some sheet metal knowledge and be willing to learn new skills related to fabrication. You’ll be responsible for cutting, bending, forming and some welding of metal parts. Basic machine maintenance skills will be necessary.
- Set up and operate a hydraulic press brake to form parts according to blueprints and work orders
- Read and interpret shop drawings, bend deductions, and flat patterns
- Select correct tooling and programs for each job
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Learn and operate a CNC fiber laser cutter (training provided)
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Keep organized with digital drawings and work orders, as well as with notes on various projects and communicate with engineering and management.
- Work closely with the team to meet daily production goals
- 1+ years of experience operating a press brake (manual or CNC)
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools like calipers, tape measures, radius gauges, and angle finders
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn CNC laser cutting
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
- Experience with CNC machines: including plasma cutters, laser cutters, mills, lathes, or brakes
- Familiarity with sheet metal layout, bend allowances, and material properties
- Experience with geometry and trigonometry
- Forklift experience or certification
