As the Lead Preschool Teacher for our autism program, you'll lead learning time for children with autism. You will serve as a point-of-contact for families and the aide/assistant teacher in your classroom. You will have a room of no more than 8 students.
- Ensure the care and safety of learners in your classroom.
- Serve as a point of contact for families and community members
- Collaborate across disciplines with therapists, coordinators, and families.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides.
- Maintain compliant, child‑safe environments and manage behavior proactively.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field preferred (Associate�s with CDA/ECE credentials considered).
- Experience working with preschool‑age children with autism; experience with ABA or proven strategies preferred.
- Understanding of behavior management, data collection, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, organization, and family‑engagement skills.
- Hourly Pay: Approximately $18-$24/hour, based on experience and credentials (see local salary data below).
