Hubbard is looking for someone to fill the position of Poultry Selection Associate II. We are seeking an outstanding individual who will join the selection team within Research and Development. This person will work in collaboration with production, vet services, and maintenance.
Job Description:- 1+ years of agriculture/research and development experience
- Basic computer skills/development of additional technological skills
- Ability to work flexible hours- including weekends (if needed)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills
- Working closely with other R&D/production teams
- Setup, breakdown, and cleaning equipment
- Tracking and recording of broiler data determined by R&D program
- Evaluating/selecting broiler chickens based off R&D program protocol
- Downloading and deleting files relating to the selection program
- Biosecurity, Animal welfare, and Health & Safety are major responsibilities
- May be asked to perform other duties deemed necessary by manager
- Primary work environment is at the grow farm facility.
- Travel to grow farm facilities is required.
- Demonstrate repeatability in physical observations between animals
- Lift and move 50 pounds
- Routine handling and interacting with live poultry
- Standing for extended periods of time (6 hours)
- Grip, grasp or twist using hands and wrists
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
- Bend and stoop repetitively throughout shift
