Post Doctoral Researcher to pursue specialized research training and experience under the guidance of Dr. William E. Carson, III, Principal Investigator in the
Comprehensive Cancer Center. Conducts research to characterize immunologic basis of human cancer using vitro and murine models; develops, adopts and
implements new laboratory methods to achieve characterization of immunologic determinates in response to cancer therapy. Identifies novel immune inhibitory
mechanisms and examines their role in cancer progression and therapeutic response. Participates in analyzing data and writing reports for the purpose of grant
submissions; trains staff in molecular biology techniques. Prepares research results for publications, presentations, conferences and other media. Serves as mentor to assigned research staff and students. Strong publication record preferred. Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision, strong analytical and writing skills.
A doctoral degree in biological sciences, molecular cellular biology, or other related discipline. Strong publication record preferred. Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision, strong analytical and writing skills.
A Doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline is required. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
