Dr. Lei Fan’s Research Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University is looking for self-motivated
PhD students (Spring 2026 and Fall 2026) in the broad area of computational and experimental biomechanics research in brain and heart.Students with background in engineering mechanics, mechanical engineering, and biomedical engineering are strongly encouraged to apply. PhD students in the lab will work on and contribute to ongoing research that solves problems related to brain-cerebrovascular and cardiovascular systems by developing multiscale computational models, and performing animal experiments.
