We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical pharmacy, with experience in various settings. This role requires excellent patient service skills, the ability to assess patient needs, and proficiency in pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication management while providing exceptional patient care.
- Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy
- Compound medications as needed, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
- Conduct patient assessments to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes
- Educate patients on medication administration
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of medications while minimizing waste
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive medical management plans
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality
- Utilize pharmacy software, EMR systems, and EHR systems for accurate record-keeping
Candidates should have:
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in retail pharmacy
- Clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on patient care and assessment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology pertaining to pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with inventory management practices within a pharmacy environment
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is advantageoua
- knowledge and proficiency in Liberty software is a plus
